๐Ÿ“ŠHow Levels and Points Work

Earning Points

Points are earned when other members like your posts, comments, and replies.

  • 1 Like = 1 Point (for the post or comment author)

Points Required for Levels

This is the number of points required to reach each level:

  • Level 1: 0 points

  • Level 2: 5 points

  • Level 3: 20 points

  • Level 4: 65 points

  • Level 5: 155 points

  • Level 6: 515 points

  • Level 7: 2,015 points

  • Level 8: 8,015 points

  • Level 9: 33,015 points

After Reaching a Level

  • A member's profile badge will update to reflect their current level.

  • Users can see the points required to reach the next level.

  • The circular progress bar will complete after a level is reached.

Note: Member levels are specific to each group. A member at Level 3 in one group will start back at Level 1 if they join a new group, just like all new members.

๐Ÿ† The Community Leaderboard

Users can view leaderboards for the group they are currently in to see how their level stacks up against other members. This will also give a preview of which courses unlock at certain levels (if applicable) and the custom level names for that group.

You can filter the leaderboard to find members who earned the highest points in the past:

  • 7 days

  • 30 days

  • Overall

๐ŸŽ Setting Up Rewards

Group admins/owners can add offline rewards as text descriptions to incentivize participation. A maximum of 3 rewards can be added.

  • Example: "Win $50 after reaching level 5."

To add a reward:

  1. As an admin, go to
    โ€‹Settings > Gamification & Rewards > Rewards.

  2. Add your reward text.

  3. Once added, rewards are reflected on the left navigation bar inside the Leaderboard Tab.

Important: Rewards cannot be automatically linked to a specific gamification level at this time. All rewards added need to be managed and fulfilled offline.

Using Gamification in Workflows (Advanced)

You can set up workflow triggers and actions based on community group membership. This allows you to automate tasks like awarding gamification points or sending messages when a user's level changes.

Use Case: Automatically send congratulatory emails or award points when a user reaches a new level.

How to use:

  1. Navigate to "Automations"
    โ€‹

  2. Create a new automation from scratch
    โ€‹

  3. Choose Trigger: "User Group Gamification Level Changed"

    1. This trigger activates when a userโ€™s leaderboard level changes.
      โ€‹

  4. Configure Filters: Use filters to specify conditions, such as a particular group or level. This ensures the trigger activates only when these conditions are met.

6. Select the "Grant community group leaderboard points" Action in your workflow.

  • Choose this action to award points to users who complete specific actions within the group.

7. Configure Points and Group:

  • Points: Set the number of points to be awarded.

  • Group: Use the dropdown to select which group this applies to. This ensures only users from the chosen group are awarded points.

Note: If the member is not part of the group specified in the workflow action, the workflow execution will fail.
