How to Build Your First Email
Navigate to Marketing > Emails > Templates.
2. Choose to Create New or Clone an existing email template.
3. To clone a template, click the three dots
4. Select "clone template" from the options
5. Rename the new template.
6. After clicking "Clone", you will be directed to the Email Builder.
How to Add New Elements
Use the "Add Elements" or the plus (+) sign.
Simply drag and drop any element you would like to add on your email.
Hit save and preview to check how it looks like on desktop, mobile and tablet.
Some of the elements are:
Text: For headlines and descriptions.
Images: Upload directly (up to 10MB) or link via URL.
Buttons: Fully customizable colors, shapes (like "pill" style), and actions (URL, Phone Call, or File Download).
Dividers: To cleanly separate different sections of your message.
Social Links: Automatically add icons for Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.
Video: Embed thumbnails from YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia.
How To Update The Email Subject
Click the three dots on the upper right.
2. Select "Settings"
3. Then put your email subject and preview text.
4. Make sure to click "save" after.
How to Test Your Email
Before you send your campaign to your entire list, always send a test to yourself:
Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the editor.
Select "Test Email" from the dropdown menu.
Fill in the required fields
From Email Address:
- ie. [email protected]. You can put any professional email here with your company domain, and Smartsquatch will use this as an alias when sending this email to someone
From Name :
- Who will the email be from
- ie. Your Company Name or John Doe from Company Name
Send Test To :
- The email address where you want to receive the preview.
4. Click "Send Test"
5. Check your inbox (and your spam folder) to see exactly how the email looks on both desktop and mobile.
